Planting Boxwoods at the George Eastman Museum

Members of the Allyn’s Creek (ACGC) and Rochester Garden (RGC) Clubs recently volunteer to help plant boxwoods at the George Eastman Museum’s Historic Garden during the recent renovations. In 2017 both clubs donated towards replacing the terrace boxwoods. Unfortunately, boxwood blight prevented the purchase of new plants. Instead, the Eastman Horticulturist took cuttings from the original boxwoods and grew new plants. The garden is now being restored back to the original design.  Both clubs also donated toward restoration of the lily pond located in the garden.
